CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Tinker Bell
Canon: Peter Pan by JM Barrie
Original or Alternate Universe: OU
Canon Point: Return to Never Land with Peter at the end of the novel.
Number: 002

Setting: Just fly to the Second Star to the Right and you’ll find it- an island rich with life and magic where you never have to grow up.

History: When a baby laughs for the very first time- it breaks into pieces and those pieces go flying about- some of those pieces are able to break away from the mainland and travel over distant sees to be found by the Never Land. Once arrival on the island those pieces become the faeries. Once day such a piece had arrived on the island and became the faery known as Tinker Bell- given such a name because of her ability to mend the pots and kettles.

She spent her time keeping busy with the pots and kettles, while occasionally taking such trips to the Mainland just because- and it was on one of these such trips that she came across the boy Peter Pan in the middle of Kensington Gardens. Tink had taken such a liking to the boy and became overwhelmed in her feels that she decided that she would stay with him. She moved into a small recess in the wall in the Home Under The Ground with the Peter and the Lost Boys. She travels with Peter on his many adventures and travels, some of which take him to the mainland, to hear the stories of the Wendy lady, which Peter would bring back to the Lost Boys.

One night when visiting to hear the stories, Mrs. Darling catches Peter in the children's bedroom, and scares him into flight, with the window shutting suddenly behind him, cutting off his shadow who was caught by Nana. Mrs. Darling takes his shadow and rolls it up, hiding it in a drawer until such a time she is able to tell Mr. Darling.

It is the night that Mrs. Darling is finally able to mention the boy and his shadow to her husband that Peter is able to return to retrieve his shadow. The Darling parents leave the home for a night out, after Mr. Darling had thrown a fit of finality at the nurse being a dog, locking Nana up in the yard.

Once the bedroom is vacated of all responsible figures, Tinker Bell goes ahead and locates the shadow rolled up in the drawer- Peter takes it suddenly and closes the drawer, shutting Tinker Bell in. He attempts to attach it himself, but is unable and sits on the floor, crying. It is this that wakens Wendy from her sleep- she aids him in attaching his shadow on by sewing it. It takes a long time before Peter even notices that Tinker Bell is no longer around- it is only when Peter mentions having lived among the faeries, and Wendy questions all sorts of things about them that he realizes he no longer hears her bells and soon find her in the drawer.

Peter and Wendy then continue to talk- and Wendy goes to give him a thimble, though really it is a kiss- and Tink would have none of that and seizes Wendy by the hair. She becomes rude, though Peter disregards this, not understanding. They go on to talk about Wendy's stories, and Peter convinces her to steal away to the Never Land with him, though Wendy tells him to bring John and Michael as well.

Peter teaches the three how to fly, giving them some of the pixie dust staining his arm. It is not long before the four of them along with Tinker Bell make the long trip back to the island. When arriving to the island, it is at nighttime, and the children draw close to Peter, and Peter sends Tink on ahead. The children begin discuss the Pirates, and Peter tempts them with an adventure, though John, who was most tempted, settles on tea first. It is when Tink returns, flying around the group creating a halo of light, that she mentions they were spotted and the Pirates were bringing out Long Tom. Peter refuses to send Tink away, her light being what cause them to be spotted, and instead they hide her in John's hat.

They are still fired on by the Pirates with Long Tom, and become separated, and Tink comes up with a clever idea to lure Wendy away, having not wanting her around in the first place. Wendy follows Tink when she beckons her, leading her towards where the Lost Boys walk around the island (looking for Peter, and being followed by the Pirates, who in turn are followed by the Redskins, who are in turn followed by the beasts). It is close to the trees that lead to the Home Under the Ground that Tink finds the Lost Boys, and claims that Peter wants them to shoot down the Wendy Bird! They go for their bows, but Tootles is the first to string and shoot, and it is a good shot. The Wendy Lady falls down to the ground, and the Boys realize their mistake, though Tink is glad for it.

Peter comes up on the group and as punishment for killing the Wendy Lady, goes to strike Tootles down for the deed, though he is stopped when Wendy raises her arm in her rest, showing that she is still alive. The kiss that Peter had given her before in her room, the small acorn, had stopped the arrow. It comes out then that it had all been Tink's idea, and Peter banishes her from being his friend- at first forever, though the sleeping Wendy raises an arm in protest and he amends it to merely last a week.

Tink leaves for that time- missing out on the adventures the boys have with Wendy as their Mother. When she returns she creates her won adventure with attempting to have faeries help with transporting a sleeping Wendy back to the Mainland on a floating leaf, though the leaf fails and Wendy wakes and swims back to the island.

Things continue in the way of the Never Land- the boys having their Adventures, with the run in with Pirates and Hooks, the one time at the Mermaid's Lagoon when Peter was struck and he and Wendy were stuck behind on Marooner's Rock. They find Michael's kite, and Peter ties it around Wendy so that she may float back to the island, and Peter stays on the rock- thinking to die there as his injury prevents him from flying. Though then a Never Bird comes by with her nest, and allows Peter to take it to float back to the island. He gives the Never Bird her eggs in one of the Pirates' hats that was left behind as thanks, and returns to the Home Under the Ground at the same time as Wendy.

Soon after they reach the Night of Nights- that begins when Peter and Wendy argue- it all being Make Believe that they are Mother and Father, Peter not understanding the true feelings the Wendy, or even Tink, have for him. After arguing it is soon bedtime and Wendy sets the boys to bed to tell her story of Mr. and Mrs. Darling- a story so that she, John, and Michael do not forget where they come from and their own real parents.

It is after this night of telling the story that the Darling children want to return home- wanting to return before, as Peter warns, their mother decides to close the window. The Lost Boys, stricken at the thought of Wendy leaving, begin telling of ways to keep her there- though Wendy instead comes up with the idea for them to come with her and her brothers. They agree, and ask Peter if they are allowed- and he does so. Wendy attempts to convince him to return as well, but he won't have any of that, and sends Tink to air in their transport.

It is then the Pirates attack the Redskins who were keeping watch above the Home Under the Ground, and for once- due to timing and the angle of surprise in the attack, that the Pirates succeed, and use the Redskins' Tom-Tom to send a signal of false win on the Redskins' part to the Lost Boys in order to coax them out. The Boys along with Wendy and her brothers bound up their trees on their way to leave the island, leaving Peter down below. Hook and the Pirates are waiting, however, and they take them all to Hook's ship.Hook makes his way down to the Home, using Slighty's tree, as he had changed his tree to fit him, rather than having it be the other way around. Though Hook is unable to enter the actual home, being unable to reach the latch on the door, therefore he cannot reach Peter in order to kill him. He spies the medicine that Wendy had left for him in easy reach, however, and drops five drops of the poison he carries with him always into the liquid before leaving on his way back to the ship.

Peter awakens later, and Tink returns to the Home with the news of the Lost Boys' and Wendy's capture by the Pirates. Peter leaps at the chance to rescue Wendy, and to please her, goes to take his medicine first. Tink- having overheard Hooks' plan, tries to stop him but he does not listen. So instead- Tink moves between his mouth and the drinks the poisoned medicine herself in order to save him. As she lay dying, Peter asks if there is any way to save her- and she mentions if children were to believe she might survive. Peter shouts out to all the children in the world if they believe- to clap if they believe, and some do. Tink is revived, and she and Peter set off the rescue those captured by the Pirates.

Peter comes up with the idea to t=Tick like the crocodile of whom Hook was so afeared- having been fed Hook's right hand by Peter many years ago, the crocodile hunted after Hook for more. The clock inside of the crocodile had wound down and it gave that idea to Peter. He comes up to the ship and Ticks, signally to the Lost Boys who crowd to the edge when he does so, all the others aboard looking at Hook as he freezes, not to make a sound when they spy it is him. Peter sneaks aboard and hides in the cabin, ceasing his Ticking, and begins to crow. Hook sends in Pirates after him, though Peter kills them swiftly.

After a few kills, Peter is able to sneak out of the cabin and cut Wendy loose to take her place. When the Pirates decide to throw Wendy over, Peter reveals it is him and then duels with Hook while the Lost Boys take care of the Pirates. Towards the end of his duel with Hook, he kicks him back and Hook is then swallowed by the now silent crocodile.

Everyone celebrates, and they steal away on the Jolly Roger back to the Mainland. Once reaching it Peter and Tink go on ahead so as to bar the window, hoping that Wendy will see it is closed and return to the Never Land with him. After watching Mrs. Darling and her tears, Peter leaves the window open and returns to the ship to arrive with the others. Wendy and the boys surprise their parents with their return, and the Darling's adopt the Lost Boys. Wendy and Mrs. Darling attempt to convince Peter to stay, but he does not. Instead coming up with the idea to steal Wendy away for a week every year for Spring Cleaning.

With that, Tink and Peter return to the Never Land.

Personality: Being a faery of so small a size, Tinker Bell is only capable of feeling one emotion at a time- as there is no room for her to feel any more than that. If she is to feel anything at all- it must be one thing most completely. Most of her personality is that of being Jealous and Selfish, which she is, especially of Peter. After all, she tried to have Wendy killed so that she did not have to share him with her. Her emotions can change on a simple whim as well- she can go from being completely kind and caring, and with one action from someone, she can turn into something quite ill-tempered. While she could be vindictive and catty at times, there were a lot of times when she was filled with kindness and caring- Tink was not all bad; or rather she was all bad just now, but, on the other hand, sometimes she was all good. Her good emotions could completely overtake her just as well as the negative ones could.

She's not polite in any regards, a rather low-class faery, being one who mends pots and pans, and she has a rather filthy mouth because of it, her favourite phrase being "You silly ass!" which is something she'll say in response to nearly anything. Peter usually does not translate most of what she says as it is more often than not very rude.

Tinker Bell is also a very mischievous faery, playing tricks and mucking about with others- again showing in how she tricks the Lost Boys into trying to kill Wendy rather than having her around, and also in getting other faeries to help her in trying to send Wendy home on a leaf. She's not much of a thinker- she primarily acts only on her feelings. Faeries are very emotionally based creatures- being born of emotions and experiencing their emotions so fully and completely. She's easily influenceable because of this, and acts on instinct and intuition alone.

Tink is also really protective of those she cares about, mostly over Peter, having been in love with him for quite a time. If anything were to harm him, or any of the Lost Boys, Tink would do anything in her power to prevent it from happening, and she wouldn’t hesitate to step into harm’s way and get hurt herself, showing this in sacrificing herself by drinking Peter's poisoned medicince rather than having him be harmed by it. Tink can be really picky about whom she chooses as a friend, the littlest thing could cause her not to like you, as she can change her mind at the drop of a hat.

Abilities, Weaknesses and Power Limitations: She has the ability to fly, being a faerie, the ability drawn from the pixie dust that fall off of her wings, though this ability is susceptible to water, as she cannot fly when her wings are wet. She is able to help others fly by sharing her pixie dust. Not quite an ability, unless you want the power to see in the dark- is that she constantly glows, unless she is asleep. It's almost as if there is a light underneath her skin. Being a Tinker faery, she is very good at mending things, and has a natural talent for fixing pots and kettles.

Tinker Bell's largest weakness is that of Iron- which is poisonous to faeries, being so small. This will not be as severe for her having been sized up upon arriving on the Tranquility. Her other main weakness is that of her emotional instability- being very influencable because of her fully felt emotions. If given enough persuasion, she could turn sides well enough.

Inventory: 1 sachet of pixie dust; 1 stone and wood hammer, 1 stone chisel

Appearance: Coming onto the Tranquility, she will be sized up to human height; just over five feet. Blonde hair tied up with vines in a rough and tumble bun, she is described as having quite the figure shown through her dress made of leaves. Shimmering wings protrude from her back, though they are not quite large enough to actually look like they would be of practical use. Her PB is that of Ludivine Sangier.

Age: Unknown. Faeries do not live quite that long in this verse, so quite young.

SAMPLES
Log Sample:
Cold, ice, and chills, cut through her skin as she staggers up and away from the not-a-bed that had seemed to enclose her when her eyes had opened. Spikes and pricks run up and down through her legs as she steps and steps, eyes moving about the room flitting from grey to grey, hands clutched over her chest to try and slow the hammering in her heart.

It was so strange, unlike anything she had ever encountered, and yet- the perspective was so shifted. Everything so much tinier than she would have expected- shifting in a body that felt much too large, with much too room for someone so small. It was the oddest sort of movement to her- stepping to and fro, barely feeling the flap of wings along her shoulders, her body clad in something other than her leaves and petals. She felt as if not a single leaf could cover her now, and what would she move about in now?

Her everything felt much too large and she did not enjoy it, the glow from her skin shifting in shades to a dark sort of yellow as her eyebrows move closer together in a frown. She gives a stamp of a foot and a shake of her head, tendrils of hair whipping back and forth, showing her displeasure at everything around her and everything she has become. This was not the Never Land, and this was not her form, and she wanted everything to be the way that it was.

"Peter!" She called out, the sound of bells escaping past her lips.

Comms Sample:
[the com clicks on- and at first the only sound to be heard is that of tinkling bells- sounding bright through the speakers. It takes a moment for the translator to work at deciphering the sound.]

This place is queer, and I demand to return to the Never Land. Tell me where is Peter so that I might find him and return home at once.
